Bugsy Malone
1976
In a stylised, candy-coloured version of 1920s New York, a street urchin named Bugsy Malone assembles a gang to take on the city's rival gangsters — but in this musical, all the characters are children, the weapons fire whipped cream, and the cars are pedal-powered. Alan Parker directed this charming oddity based on his own original musical.
