A Town Like Alice

A young English woman survives a Japanese prisoner-of-war camp and later makes her way to Australia, where she falls in love with a cattle station manager and seeks news of a fellow prisoner she came to care for. Based on Nevil Shute's novel, the film is an epic wartime romance spanning Malaya and the Australian outback.
