King George’s Fields

King George's Fields in Barnet, London is a 28-hectare (69-acre) Site of Borough Importance for Nature Conservation (Grade II), located in Monken Hadley in the London Borough of Barnet. It was established as a memorial following the death of King George V in 1936, as part of a nationwide network of public playing fields. The site features a patchwork of grassy fields, overgrown hedgerows, woodland strips, and small streams, offering a surprisingly rural character within suburban London.
