The Etruscan Smile

The Etruscan Smile follows Rory MacNeil, a rugged and stubborn old Scotsman from a remote Hebridean island, who reluctantly travels to San Francisco to seek medical treatment for a terminal illness. He moves in with his estranged son Ian and his family, where an unexpected bond with his baby grandson begins to transform his outlook on life. Along the way, Rory also navigates a budding romance with Claudia, a museum curator, while working to mend his fractured relationship with his son. The film is a bittersweet comedy-drama about mortality, family reconciliation, and the possibility of change late in life.
