The Last Bus
2021
After the death of his beloved wife Mary, elderly widower Tom uses his free bus pass to travel the entire length of Britain - from John O'Groats in Scotland to Land's End in Cornwall - using only local buses, carrying his wife's ashes with the intention of scattering them where they originally met and grew up. Along the way, Tom encounters a wide variety of people who are moved by his journey, and his adventures begin to capture the public's imagination, turning him into an unlikely media phenomenon. The film is interspersed with nostalgic flashbacks to Tom and Mary's life together, adding emotional depth to his solo trek across the country.
