Ross On Wye

Ross-on-Wye is a market town in Herefordshire, England, situated on a sandstone cliff above a broad meander of the River Wye. The town is often regarded as the gateway to the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has been a popular tourist destination since the 18th century when the Reverend William Gilpin's writings popularised the concept of the picturesque landscape.
