Elstree Studios
Elstree Studios is a historic film and television production facility located in Borehamwood in Hertfordshire, approximately 11 miles north of central London. The studios were founded in the 1920s and have a rich production history, having hosted some of the most famous films ever made including the original Star Wars trilogy, Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, and many others, as well as major television productions. The studios continue to operate as a major production facility and are also home to the BBC's EastEnders set, and are situated adjacent to the nearby BBC Elstree Centre.
