Brands Hatch is a famous motor racing circuit located near Fawkham in the Sevenoaks district of Kent, approximately 19 miles southeast of central London. The circuit developed from a motorcycle grasstrack in the 1920s and was progressively developed into a permanent race circuit, hosting the British Grand Prix on several occasions between 1964 and 1986. The track is characterised by its dramatic natural amphitheatre layout, with the circuit dropping steeply into the Brands Hatch bowl visible from spectator banks, and is operated today by MotorSport Vision.
