Elveden Hall

Elveden Hall, Suffolk, England

Elveden Hall is a large country house located on the Elveden Estate in Suffolk, approximately four miles south of Thetford. The house was purchased in 1863 by Prince Duleep Singh, the last Maharaja of the Punjab, who remodelled it in a lavish Indian style. It was later acquired by the first Earl of Iveagh of the Guinness family, who greatly extended it in an Indian-influenced Baroque style between 1899 and 1903. The estate, which is one of the largest in England, is still owned by the Guinness family and the hall has been used as a filming location for several productions.
