Minehead is a seaside town in Somerset, England, situated on the Bristol Channel coast at the northern edge of Exmoor National Park. The town is the western terminus of the West Somerset Railway, the longest preserved heritage railway in England, and serves as a gateway to Exmoor for tourists and walkers following the South West Coast Path, which officially begins in Minehead. The town has both a Victorian and Edwardian seafront resort character and an older higher town with traditional Somerset architecture.
