Hounslow

Hounslow is a large suburban district and London borough in west London, situated approximately 10 miles west of central London near the River Thames and Heathrow Airport. The borough encompasses a diverse mix of residential neighbourhoods and retail centres, and has a long history as a coaching town on the road to Bath and the west of England. The proximity to Heathrow, the world's busiest international airport, means that much of the borough lies beneath the main flight paths, and the area has a notably multicultural population reflecting patterns of settlement associated with airport employment.
