Dorchester-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, England

Dorchester-on-Thames is a small village in South Oxfordshire, England, situated at the confluence of the rivers Thames and Thame, approximately 8 miles south of Oxford. The village has an exceptionally long history and was once a significant Saxon cathedral city and Roman settlement, and Dorchester Abbey, a large medieval church, remains the focal point of the village. The surrounding area includes ancient earthworks, water meadows, and the Sinodun Hills, and the village retains much of its historic character with traditional architecture and a linear street pattern.
