Ashford
Ashford is a large market town in the borough of the same name in Kent, southeast England, located on the Great Stour river where it meets several tributaries. It sits at the junction of major road and rail routes, and since the opening of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link it has become an international rail hub with direct Eurostar services to Paris and Brussels. The town has grown considerably since the post-war era and is surrounded by the agricultural landscapes of the Weald and Romney Marsh.
