East Sussex is a county in South East England, bordering Kent to the east, West Sussex to the west, and Surrey to the north. The South Downs National Park, with its rolling chalk hills and long-distance walking route, runs across much of the county. The coastline features the famous chalk sea stacks known as the Seven Sisters and the Belle Tout lighthouse near Beachy Head, one of England's tallest chalk sea cliffs. Brighton and Hove, a city renowned for its Regency architecture and vibrant cultural scene, lies on the county's southern coast.
