A young Scottish doctor travels to Uganda to work as a physician and becomes the personal doctor to Idi Amin, gradually realising the true horror of the dictator's regime while trapped in a web of complicity and fear. Forest Whitaker won the Oscar for his ferocious portrayal of Amin.
