Dorchester Prison

HM Prison Dorchester was a prison in Dorchester, Dorset, occupying a site with a penal history dating back centuries before closing in 2013. Its Victorian buildings, including distinctive wings and a chapel, gave it a stark, institutional character typical of period British prisons. Following closure, parts of the site have been used for filming and other productions. It is located close to the town centre of Dorchester.
