Park Circus
Park Circus is a Victorian residential circus and the centrepiece of the Park conservation area in the Woodlands district of Glasgow's West End. Developed in the 1850s and 1860s to designs by Charles Wilson, it comprises elegant Italianate stone terraces arranged around a circular private garden on an elevated ridge with panoramic views over Kelvingrove Park and the city. The surrounding Park District is one of Scotland's most complete Victorian planned residential developments, largely intact and home to many of Glasgow's professionals and academics. Park Circus Place, an attached crescent, adds to the formal composition of this exceptional architectural ensemble.
