Barrowland Ballroom
The Barrowland Ballroom is a legendary music venue in the East End of Glasgow, located on Gallowgate adjacent to The Barras market. Originally opened in 1934 as a dance hall by Maggie McIver, it was rebuilt after a fire in 1958 and has operated as a concert venue since the 1960s. With a capacity of approximately 1,900, it is renowned for its distinctive neon exterior signage, sprung wooden dance floor, and exceptional atmosphere, consistently ranking among the best live music venues in the world. It has hosted virtually every major touring artist and band since the 1960s and is a beloved Glasgow institution.
