Dalton Mills

Dalton Mills, Keighley, Yorkshire, England

Dalton Mills is a large Victorian textile mill complex located in Keighley in West Yorkshire, built in the 1860s and associated with the Dalton family of mill owners. The main mill building is a substantial six-storey structure in the Italianate style with a tower that is one of the more prominent landmarks in the town. The mill ceased textile production during the decline of the Yorkshire wool industry and the complex has been used extensively as a film and television location, notably appearing in the 2011 BBC television adaptation of Great Expectations. The buildings are currently subject to redevelopment plans.
