Letchmore Heath is a small village in the Hertsmere district of Hertfordshire, England, situated approximately three miles south of Watford and close to the village of Aldenham. The village is notable as the primary filming location for the 1973 horror film The Wicker Man and has been used in numerous other film and television productions due to its photogenic village green and traditional English character. It lies within the Metropolitan Green Belt and is surrounded by farmland and parkland associated with the nearby Bhaktivedanta Manor, the Hare Krishna centre in a Victorian country house. The village retains a quiet, unspoilt character with a duck pond and historic cottages.
