Culzean Castle
Culzean Castle is a magnificent neoclassical castle perched on cliffs above the Firth of Clyde near Maybole in South Ayrshire, Scotland, designed by Robert Adam and built between 1777 and 1792 for David Kennedy, 10th Earl of Cassillis. The castle is now owned and managed by the National Trust for Scotland and is situated within Culzean Country Park, which covers approximately 228 acres of woodland, gardens, and shoreline. The castle's Round Drawing Room and the Oval Staircase are considered among Adam's finest interior designs. Culzean is the most visited castle in Scotland and overlooks Ailsa Craig and the Isle of Arran.
