Aylesbury is the county town and administrative centre of Buckinghamshire, England, situated approximately forty miles north-west of London in the Vale of Aylesbury. The town has a historic market place and medieval church of St Mary, and its centre contains a mix of period and modern buildings reflecting its long history as a market and administrative centre. It grew significantly in the post-war period with the development of large housing estates and light industry. Aylesbury is served by Chiltern Railways with services to London Marylebone.
