Beaconsfield

Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, England

Beaconsfield is a small market town in Buckinghamshire, England, situated approximately twenty-three miles west of central London in the Chiltern Hills. The town is divided into the historic Old Town, which retains its coaching inn character along the original road through the Chilterns, and the New Town that developed around the railway station following the arrival of the Great Western and Great Central Railway in 1906. It is one of the more affluent communities in the South East of England and lies close to the M40 motorway corridor. Beaconsfield is the location of Bekonscot Model Village, the oldest model village in the world.
