Ford Airfield
Ford Airfield is a former Royal Naval Air Station located near the village of Ford in West Sussex, not far from Arundel and Littlehampton. The airfield was established in 1917 and saw significant use during the Second World War as a Fleet Air Arm base. Following decommissioning, parts of the site were redeveloped as Ford Open Prison, and the former runways have been used for various industrial and storage purposes. The location is close to the River Arun and the coastal plain of West Sussex.
