Pontesbury

Pontesbury is a large village and civil parish in Shropshire, England, situated approximately eight miles south-west of Shrewsbury in the foothills of the Stiperstones ridge. The village lies in a broad valley with the Long Mynd and Stiperstones hills nearby, and is surrounded by farming land and former lead-mining country. It has a parish church dedicated to St George and serves as a local centre for surrounding rural communities.
