Colne
Colne is a small market town in the Pendle district of Lancashire, England, situated on the edge of the Pennines approximately 10 kilometres northeast of Burnley. The town developed as a centre for the cotton weaving industry during the Industrial Revolution and retains a heritage of terraced weavers' cottages and Victorian civic buildings. Colne is close to the Yorkshire border and the surrounding moorland landscape of the Pennine uplands. The town is known locally for its folk and blues music festival.
