Pennan
Pennan is a small fishing village on the Moray Firth coast in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, tucked beneath imposing sandstone cliffs on the northern coastal road between Fraserburgh and Banff. The village consists of a single row of whitewashed cottages facing the sea, with a small harbour providing shelter for fishing boats. It is internationally known as the principal filming location for Bill Forsyth's 1983 film Local Hero. The iconic red telephone box featured in the film became one of the village's most visited landmarks.
