Lochgilphead
Lochgilphead is a small town in Argyll and Bute, Scotland, situated at the head of Loch Gilp, a shallow inlet of Loch Fyne on the west coast. It serves as the administrative centre for Argyll and Bute Council and is one of the larger settlements in mid-Argyll. The town lies at the southern end of the Crinan Canal, approximately 35 miles south of Oban. The surrounding area is characterised by hills, lochs, and the deeply indented sea loch coastline typical of this part of Scotland.
