Monaghan

Monaghan is a county in the province of Ulster in the north of Ireland, bordering Northern Ireland to the north and east. The landscape is characterised by a classic drumlin topography of small rounded hills and hollows formed by glacial deposits, interspersed with many small lakes. Monaghan town is the county town and main commercial centre. The county is predominantly agricultural, with dairying and poultry farming being the main activities.
