Canning Street

Canning Street is a residential street in the Georgian Quarter of Liverpool, forming part of one of the finest concentrations of Georgian terraced housing in England. The street is lined with elegant late 18th and early 19th-century townhouses built from brick in a unified classical style, and forms part of the Liverpool Georgian Quarter conservation area. The surrounding neighbourhood, including Falkner Square and Gambier Terrace, represents a remarkably intact example of early 19th-century urban planning and architecture.
