Delph

Delph, Cheshire, England

Delph is a village in the Saddleworth area of the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham in Greater Manchester, set in the South Pennines at an elevation above the Tame Valley. The village is known for its traditional stone-built cottages and houses characteristic of the West Riding textile communities, and retains a peaceful, rural character despite its location within Greater Manchester. Delph is situated close to the A62 trans-Pennine road and the Huddersfield Narrow Canal corridor, which historically served the local woollen industry.
