Stamford Golf Club

Mossley is a small mill town in the foothills of the Pennines, situated in the Tame Valley on the border of Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire, forming part of the Metropolitan Borough of Tameside. The area is characterised by moorland, hillside terraced housing, and the remnants of its textile industry, and is surrounded by open countryside offering views across the Pennines. A golf club in this area would be set within the dramatic upland landscape typical of the South Pennines, at an elevated position above the valley towns.
