St. John’s Street

St. John's Street is a historic thoroughfare in the Clerkenwell and Smithfield area of the London Borough of Islington, running northward from Smithfield Market toward Islington. The street follows the line of an ancient road and retains a mix of Victorian and Georgian commercial and residential buildings, and is close to the historic priory of St. John of Jerusalem, from which the street takes its name. The area is now part of a fashionable neighbourhood known for its restaurants, bars, and media businesses.
