Royal Courts Of Justice
The Royal Courts of Justice, commonly known as the Law Courts, is a court building located on the Strand in the City of Westminster, London. The building was designed by architect George Edmund Street in a Gothic Revival style and opened by Queen Victoria in 1882. It houses the Court of Appeal, the High Court of Justice of England and Wales, and the associated offices of the court administration. The ornate exterior and the vast Great Hall of the building are among the most distinctive legal landmarks in England.
