London Bridge

London Bridge

London Bridge, London, England

London Bridge is a road bridge crossing the River Thames in central London, connecting the City of London on the north bank with the London Borough of Southwark on the south. It is one of the most historic crossings on the Thames, with a bridge having existed at or near this location since Roman times, and the medieval London Bridge was one of the most famous structures in Europe. The current bridge was built between 1967 and 1972, replacing a Victorian structure that was controversially sold and re-erected in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. The bridge is adjacent to London Bridge railway station, one of the oldest and busiest stations in the capital.
