Liverpool Street Station
Liverpool Street is a mainline railway terminus and London Underground station located in the City of London and the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. The station was opened in 1874 as the London terminus of the Great Eastern Railway and is now one of the busiest railway stations in the UK, serving destinations in East Anglia including Norwich, Cambridge, Ipswich, and Stansted Airport. The station is also a major London Underground interchange, served by the Central, Circle, Hammersmith & City, and Metropolitan lines. The Victorian train shed structures have been largely preserved alongside modern additions.
