Camusdarrach
Camusdarrach is a beautiful sandy beach located on the west coast of the Scottish Highlands, near the village of Morar in the Lochaber area. The beach features white shell sand and clear turquoise waters, sheltered by rocky headlands, and offers views across the Sound of Sleat towards the islands of Eigg and Rum. It is famously associated with the 1983 film Local Hero, directed by Bill Forsyth, in which it served as the principal beach location. The beach sits within a remote and unspoiled stretch of coastline that forms part of the so-called 'Silver Sands of Morar'.
