St. Buryan
St Buryan is a small village and civil parish on the Penwith peninsula in far west Cornwall, England, approximately 5 miles southwest of Penzance. The village is centred on the Church of St Buriana, a large medieval granite church with a prominent 15th-century tower that serves as a landmark across the surrounding farmland and is visible from considerable distances. The parish contains several significant prehistoric monuments including the Merry Maidens stone circle and the standing stones of the Pipers, reflecting the high concentration of Neolithic and Bronze Age remains in west Penwith.
